Mr. Derrick Lee
President of The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong
With over 20 years of experience as a management executive in public and private sector entities from Canada, the US and Hong Kong, Mr. Lee is an expert in spearheading strategic planning, performance management, business development, public relations and governance initiatives.
Mr. Lee joined the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong in September 2016, and currently acts as the President of the Secretariat, executing strategic developments for the Chamber and promoting greater business synergies between Canada, Hong Kong and the Mainland.
Prior to his current employment, Mr. Lee has worked for various government entities such as the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong/Macao,Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada, Transport Canada, Invest Hong Kong and State of California Office of Trade & Investment.
Mr. Lee is a graduate of the Senior Executive Leadership program from the Rock Center for Corporate Governance at Stanford University. He has obtained his Master of International and Public Affairs degree at the University of Hong Kong and his Bachelor degree from Athabasca University in Canada.
Mr. Lee is a Fellow Certified Management Accountant of CMA Australia, member of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors, a Certified Management Consultant of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes, and Fellow Certified Risk Planner with the Institute of Crisis and Risk Management.
Besides work, Mr. Lee is actively engaged in the community, and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Public Service Committee with CMA Australia, , Committee Member of the Human Resources Committee at Oxfam HK, Director at the Global Institute of Excellence, Founding President of the Stanford SELP Alumni Association, and Founding Member of the Lions Club of International Finance in Hong Kong.
