Mr. Ip Cheuk Hung, Robert joined Minolta (HK) Limited in 1990, and was promoted to head of the Sales Division due to his outstanding performance. In 2008, he successfully led the division to weather the financial tsunami and recorded double digit growth in sales. From 2012 to 2016, he was appointed as Director of Marketing, Sales and Technical Service in Konica Minolta Business Solutions Hong Kong Limited (KMHK) to formulate business development and transformation strategies for the company. In 2014, KMHK was presented the “President’s Award” from the Japan headquarters in recognition of its remarkable achievements. With over twenty years of extensive management experience, Mr. Ip rose to become the first Chinese Managing Director in March 2016, leading over 800 employees in KMHK.
Mr. Ip endeavours to transform KMHK into a business solutions expert, providing total solutions to help customers enhance their efficiency and productivity. Other than spearheading the development of digital multi-functional systems, business solutions, I.T. Services, and business process outsourcing services for the company, Mr. Ip also contributes significantly to the sustainable development of the community. In 2014, he pioneered in establishing the first social enterprise operated by an MNC in Hong Kong namely the “i-Transform Station”, which employs hidden youth and helps them integrate into the society.
Mr. Ip obtained an MBA Degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University; a Master of Science Degree in Information Systems from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology; and a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the University of Quebec at Montreal, Canada.
Mr. Ip is also a columnist in Hong Kong Economic Journal. He shares his management philosophies and real stories in the business world, aiming to motivate the youngsters in the workplace through the column “我要做MD”.
