Professor Lee Ngok is Vice President (Education) of UNESCOHK, having responsibility in developing sustainable education at the school and higher education level in Hong Kong and the Mainland. He has half a century of experience in higher education both in Hong Kong and overseas. He served as Dean of Arts at HKU and Director of HKUSPACE, Pro Vice-Chancellor of University of Southern Queensland, Executive Director at the Vocational Training Council and Founding Chairman of the Federation of Continuing Education, as well as many government-appointed Boards and Committees.

Professor Enoch Chien Ming Young

Director Emeritus, School of Professional and Continuing Education, University of Hong Kong (HKU SPACE)


Professor Enoch C.M. Young is Director Emeritus of the School of Professional and Continuing Education, University of Hong Kong (HKU SPACE).  He served as Director of HKU SPACE during 1997-2008.  As the Director, Professor Young led HKU SPACE to become a leader in continuing education and lifelong learning in Hong Kong and the region.  

Professor Young obtained a B.Sc. from the University of Hong Kong and a Ph.D. from Bristol University, U.K.  He held research appointments at CERN (Geneva) and Durham University (U.K.).  Before 1997, he was at various times Associate Dean of Science at University of Hong Kong and Professor and Dean of Science and Engineering, Director of Graduate School, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, and Acting President and Vice-Chancellor at City University of Hong Kong.

Professor Young served on many Government and non-Government Committees and Councils, including the University Grants Committee (UGC), the Vocational Training Council (VTC), and the Councils of City University of Hong Kong, Open University of Hong Kong, University of Hong Kong and the Council of the Physical Society in China.  He was Chairman of the Federation of Continuing Education in Tertiary Institutions (2002-2007).

Professor Young has been awarded many honours, including honorary professorships, honorary doctorates from universities in Hong Kong, Mainland China, U.K. and U.S.A., and honorary fellowships from professional organizations.  He received the “World Outstanding Chinese” Award in 2006 and the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) in 2007.  In 2009, he was awarded the Honorary University Fellowship and the Distinguished Alumni Award of Faculty of Science by the University of Hong Kong.  In 2012, he was awarded the Hon. Knight of St. John.

Professor Young has published and presented about 300 papers and articles in the areas of astrophysics, higher education and lifelong learning.

Professor, HK Chu Hai College of Higher Education

Professor Peter K.W. Fong is a Professor at HK Chu Hai College of Higher Education. He is also a Research Associate of Centre of Research on Education in China, Faculty of Education, HKU; President of Hong Kong Public Administration Association and Co-Chief Editor of Public Administration and Policy–An Asia-Pacific Journal. He holds advisory and visiting Professorships in several Mainland China universities, namely Tsinghua, Renmin, Tongji, and Tianjin Universities. Professor Fong is a Registered Professional Planner in HK and Australia. He was formerly a Fellow of University of Cambridge; Visiting Scholar at MIT; Director of EMBA Programme, HKU Business School; Executive Vice President of City University of Macau (formerly AIOU); Studies Director of Civil Service Training & Development Institute, HKSARG; and Consultant of the World Bank in Washington D.C. and Delta Asia Bank in Macau.

Associate Professor, City University of Macau

Mr. Fong Kwong Yee is the Associate Professor of City University of Macau ever since 2004.  He was the Head of Continuing and Professional Development Centre of the Vocational Training Council from 1998 to 2004. He was also Assistant Professor in Business Studies of the School of Professional and Continuing Education of the University of Hong Kong from 1990 to 1998. He also served the community in various capacities, including Chairman of the Vetting Committee of Continuing Education Fund Scheme of the Education Manpower Bureau from 2002 to 2004, Member Education Commission’s Working Group on Continuing Education of the Education Manpower Bureau from 2000 to 2002, Member of Continuing Professional Education Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Education from 1998 to 2000, and Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Marketing from 1996 to 2002. He is member of various professional organizations, such as the CMA of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants, Full Member of The Hong Kong Securities Institute, Fellow Member of The Hong Kong Institute of Marketing and Certified Professional Marketer of The Hong Kong Institute of Marketing.

Founding President, Hong Kong Academy of Chinese Medicine

Professor Sarah S.C. Hui is a pharmacologist by training and a devoted educator by profession.  Prof. Hui obtained her undergraduate qualification in Pharmacology with First Class Honors from the University of Bradford in England and continued to the doctorate degree in neuropharmacology at the same university. 

Prof. Hui is the Founding President of the Hong Kong Academy of Chinese Medicine established in 2003 with the main objective for the promotion of education in Chinese medicines.   She has established strong and intensive network with almost all Chinese Medicine Universities in mainland China and overseas.  As of to-date, Prof. Hui still maintains a functional role for the Academy in all matters relating strategic planning, marketing and course developments etc. 

Prior to establishing the Academy, Prof. Hui has been working in the School of Professional and Continuing Education of the Hong Kong University for 20 years.  Prof. Hui has been invited by the HKSAR Government to take up various advisory positions including the member of the Chinese Medicine Council that was established in 1999.  Prof. Hui is now advisor of some key associations of Traditional Chinese Medicines in Hong Kong and also been awarded visiting professorship of many Chinese medicine universities and research institutes in China.

Adjunct Professor, City University of Hong Kong

Dr Kundi is an Adjunct Professor at CityU of HK, an Adjunct Lecturer at HKU SPACE and the Associate Director for the Executive PhD in Management & Governance at the University of Twente, NL, & holds several other teaching & lecturing appointments at top-tier Universities & Professional Accounting & Financial Institutes in Asia Pacific as well as in Europe. 

His last position in the commercial sector was as the CFO for one of the global market leaders in the baby products industry where he managed the Finance, Accounting, I.T. & HRM functions with a budget in 2010 in excess of US $440million. 

Today his main areas of research interest are in Corporate Governance, CSR & Corporate Strategy. He is also active in developing innovative executive & management development programs.
